Details
Delivering up to 30 kWh of energy per month, the Southwest Windpower AIR 30 is ideal for small battery-charging applications such as remote monitoring, garden lighting, small cabins, educational uses and hybrid systems with solar. The permanent mold cast aluminum body and carbon fiber composite blades are lightweight and easily portable but withstand wind speeds up to 110 mph. The turbine is easily mounted to any 1.5" schedule 40 pipe, and a number of prefabricated tower mounts are available.
An advanced microprocessor continuously reads battery charge, and intelligent electronic controls shut off current to fully charged batteries to prevent damage from overcharging. Blade rotation is automatically controlled to optimize energy production at all times and protect the turbine during high winds. The smart controls and quality construction ensure quiet operation in all conditions. Extensive third party testing has verified the reliability and consistent performance that makes the AIR series the world's best-selling wind turbines.
