pH Electrodes

pH electrodes are very similar to ion-selective electrodes in that they measure the activity (potential) of ions in a solution. This potential is measured against a reference electrode (often included in the pH sensor) to determine the pH of the sample. Designed for lab or field use, some of the electrodes can even measure the pH of a flat surface or solid. Several of the lab electrodes are refillable, extending their lifespan and improving accuracy. The field pH probes and sensors are intended for use with a specific sonde or pH meter.
