The Extech Water Restoration Contractor Kit includes a thermal imaging camera quickly locates areas of moisture in building materials. The kit utilizes a combination moisture meter/thermal hygrometer to capture all ambient conditions as well as moisture levels in one meter. It includes the essential probes to measure moisture levels under baseboards, in between walls, and in hard wood and plywood subfloors. A USB datalogger with PC interface is used for GPP calculations. The kit is supplied in a rugged heavy duty hard carrying case thatprovides protection and organization for the meters andaccessories whenever they are needed. It contains: 


Model FLIR i7 compact IR camera for a high quality, focus free solution to capture images stored on a mini SD card. The camera takes temperature readings from 32 to 482°F. Model MO290 pinless moisture psychrometer + IR to monitor moisture in wood and building materials with virtually no surface damage, as well as a built-in RH/temperature probe to measure relative humidity, air temperature, dew point, grains per pound, and vapor pressure. The InfraRed thermometer with laser pointer allows for non-contact surface temperature measurements. Model RHT10 humidity/temperature USB datalogger logs 16,000 RH and 16,000 temperature readings. The USB interface permits easy set-up and data download using the included software.

Parasite Behind Yellowstone River Fish Kill Found In Other Rivers

A parasite that caused a massive fish kill in Montana’s Yellowstone River has been found in at least seven other rivers in the state, according to the Bozeman Daily Chronicle . Scientists with the Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks department made the find. So far, the parasite has been confirmed in the upper and lower Madison, East Gallatin, Bighorn, Stillwater, and Boulder Rivers. It had already been confirmed in the Jefferson and Shields Rivers. The effect of the disease on Yellowstone’s fish populations is exacerbated by other stressors like near-record low flows, consistent high temperatures and the disturbance caused by recreational activities.
