Details

The iSXBlue III+ GNSS is a palm-sized receiver that delivers real-time 1 cm accuracy using GPS/GLONASS satellites. Its battery-powered lightweight design makes it an ideal choice for applications that require cm-level horizontal and vertical accuracy in real-time such as agriculture, engineering, mining, utilities, surveying, GIS, and others. A free NTRIP/DIP software utility for iOS (iPad and iPhone) is included to allow the iSXBlue III+ GNSS to connect to any of the hundreds of RTK Networks and RTK reference stations available around the world.

Go Centimeter Real-time, All the Time!
The iSXBlue III+ GNSS takes full advantage of both GPS and GLONASS satellites to allow you to work all day and in more places without suffering from non-productive down-time that GPS-only RTK receivers sometimes experience. You get 372 channels of proven 1 cm RTK performance from a lightweight unit that fits in the palm of your hand, and includes a field-replaceable rechargeable battery for 8+ hours of operation. In addition to RTK, you also have the option of using SBAS for sub-meter mapping that the SXBlue product has built its reputation on. Having the choice of either L1/L2 GPS/GLONASS RTK for real-time centimeter accuracy or GPS/GLONASS SBAS for 30 cm real-time mapping provides you the flexibility that no other receiver of this size and price can offer you.

Work in More Places than Ever Before
We have heard it over and over. Once you start using GLONASS, you will be addicted. By using GLONASS satellites, your productivity immediately improves. With both GPS and GLONASS satellites, you will have nearly twice as many satellites in view, meaning you will not have to wait for the RTK accuracy you want.

A Long Term Solution
The iSXBlue III+ GNSS maximizes your productivity by working directly within your iOS or Android application. Example: ESRI Collector, AmigoCloud, ArcGis, Fulcrum, GeoJot, iCMTGIS, TerraGo Edge, Carlson Surveyor and MicroSurvey FieldGenius.

Because the iSXBlue III+ GNSS does not have a built-in computer, it cannot become obsolete. On one project, connect it to your smartphone. On the next project, connect it to your tablet computer. iOS? Android? Windows? The iSXBlue III+ GNSS does not care which operating system your mobile device uses, it just keeps delivering 1 cm RTK accuracy to whichever device you want to connect to it using Bluetooth, mini USB or RS-232.

iSXBlue RTN, RTK app for iOS
The NTRIP Client App for iOS works with all iSXBlue receivers. Use iSXBlue RTN alongside other GIS and Surveying Apps to obtain Real-Time cm accuracy on your iPhone or iPad. Key features include RTK alarm configurations with NTRIP and DIP Modes. The App allows you to update your receiver with the latest firmware. Other features include Real-Time Map Location with accuracy and satellite SkyPlot for GPS, GLONASS and SBAS.

Researchers Find Link Between Climate Change and Gastrointestinal Illnesses

An understanding of climate change’s effects on the environment has become commonplace and grows every day, but one researcher from Florida State University is looking to answer a new question: What are climate change’s effects on people’s health? In one of the first studies of its kind, Chris Uejio, an assistant professor at FSU, and a team of researchers studied how climate change can affect the roughly 20 million Americans (according to the Environmental Protection Agency) who consume untreated drinking water on a daily basis. Because climate forecasts are predicting higher rainfall rates over the next few decades, coming down in intense storms, Uejio said those flashes could cause flare-ups in waterborne illnesses.

Data Buoys Infographic

We put together this infographic on data buoys for our Spring 2017 edition of the Environmental Monitor ( PDF available online ). Organizations across the globe use data buoy systems to observe and monitor atmospheric and oceanographic conditions in remote locations. Measurements range from air pressure, humidity, wind speed and direction to wave height, water temperature, dissolved oxygen and other water quality parameters. With the help of national and international networks, reliable and comprehensive data sets are made available for research and public safety.
