PowerDrive 70 Trolling Motor w/Bluetooth - 24V-70lb-54"
w/ Free MK-230D On-Board Charger

ALWAYS DRIVEN.
An updated mount with the same attitude. We rebuilt PowerDrive to make it tougher and sleeker, but it's gonna keep doing what it's always done: show up to the launch ramp, day after day, with big-time technology, trusted power, and easy operation.

Redesigned Mount & Aesthetics
PowerDrive has been redesigned with updated technology, and remodeled to handle the workload that goesalong with it - giving you a stronger mount and bigger brains in a sleeker package.

Deploy-Assist Lever
The PowerDrive Deploy-Assist lever lets you get in and out of the water without breaking a sweat. Depress the lever to deploy. And when it's time to move, it stows easily and securely.

Redesigned Foot Pedal
Control speed, steering, and momentary and constant on/off with the newly redesigned, robust foot pedal. Includes 18' cord.

Push-To-Test Battery Meter
The push-to-test battery meter on PowerDrive gives you an instant "state of charge" reading at the push of a button, so you can see just how much longer you have on the water.

Propeller
Weedless Wedge 2: Push weeds away and take on the thick stuff without battery-draining chopping and hacking. Weedless Wedge™ 2 features swept-back, flared blades for unrelenting, reliable prop performance.

Advantage Minn Kota
Indestructible Composite Shaft: Pound for pound, our composite shaft is stronger than steel. It flexes on impact and won't break, kink or corrode. That's why we're confident enough to guarantee it for life.

Cool, Quiet, Power:Nothing runs cooler or quieter than a Minn Kota. Our extra large windings and commutators dissipate heat, resulting in cooler operation, extended battery power, and longer motor life. And our unique bearing system reduces friction to cut fish-spooking noise.

2-Year Warranty
This motor is backed up with Minn Kota's two-year warranty.

Additional Features:
Push-to-Test Battery Meter
Indestructible Composite Shaft
Cool, Quiet Power

ON-BOARD MARINE BATTERY CHARGERS.
Reengineered with a microprocessor-based design, our all-new digital
on-boardchargers protect your battery, charge faster, and help you stay on
the water longer.

DIGITALLY CONTROLLED.
We set out to build a smarter charger, and the result is the ingenious
microprocessor-based design of our new on-boardunits. By monitoring factors
like temperature and state of charge, they deliver a faster, more regulated
precise charge so you can stay on the water longer, without worrying about
your batteries.

PROTECTS BATTERIES.
Our new on-board chargers feature Multi-Stage Charging and Automatic
Temperature Compensation for more precise charges that won't damage your
battery. And its automatic shut-off feature extends battery life by shutting
down when charging is complete. So your battery and your day on the water
will always last longer.

TWO TIMES FASTER CHARGING.
In high temperatures, our new on-board chargers juice up your batteries up
to twice as fast. Thanks to a digital design that monitors everything from
temperature to state of charge, our new on-boards get the job done.

Bottom Composition Matters, Underwater Cameras Can Help

As a pro angler, I use my Lowrance electronics every single time I am on the water. They are great at locating fish and structure, but when combined with my FishSens SondeCAM HD Underwater Camera they can show everything. A camera is a great tool for someone who wants to better understand what they are seeing on their electronics and for me, it helps get a clear picture of one of the most important things in bass fishing: bottom composition. Hard Spots Hard bottoms are usually the best, and bass will relate to hard bottoms of different types depending on the region. My Lowrance StructureScan will show hard bottoms as bright, white areas on the screen where softer bottoms will be more grayish.

Targeting Spawning Bass: Are They Going to Bite?

This time of year, anglers all over are fishing for bass they can see in the shallows. Some bass will be easy to catch and some are nearly impossible, like those that are in the act of spawning instead of just guarding their beds. There are a few things that I do to determine if the fish is going to bite and if they are worth spending time fishing for. Locating Bedding Bass One of the best ways to find bedding bass is to cruise the shallows with your trolling motor at about 40 or 50%. I have found that this is the best speed to both cover water and avoid spooking fish. Anything faster will scare fish away long before you get to them.

Researchers Find Link Between Climate Change and Gastrointestinal Illnesses

An understanding of climate change’s effects on the environment has become commonplace and grows every day, but one researcher from Florida State University is looking to answer a new question: What are climate change’s effects on people’s health? In one of the first studies of its kind, Chris Uejio, an assistant professor at FSU, and a team of researchers studied how climate change can affect the roughly 20 million Americans (according to the Environmental Protection Agency) who consume untreated drinking water on a daily basis. Because climate forecasts are predicting higher rainfall rates over the next few decades, coming down in intense storms, Uejio said those flashes could cause flare-ups in waterborne illnesses.
