Terrova 80/US2/i-Pilot
Freshwater Bow-Mount
#1358864

If you aren't moving forward, you're falling behind. That's why we put Terrova™ through the ringer, with thousands of hours of in-lab and on-the-water testing. The result is the new benchmark in electric-steer, bow-mount performance. Terrova meets any obstacle and puts it in its place to help you fish without limits.

Terrova Foot Pedal
Low-profile design offers two steering options: heel/toe pedal or left/right steering buttons. Includes rotary speed control dial, momentary/constant on toggle, AutoPilot on/off toggle and an 18' cable with IP68-rated waterproof connector plug. Plug-n-play with Terrova or Riptide ST bow-mount motors. Works in conjunction with CoPilot.

Digital Maximizer
Digital Maximizer™ controls and optimizes power to extend battery life and reduce damaging heat. You'll stay on the water up to five times longer on a single charge.

Digital AutoPilot(Optional)
Digitally controlled AutoPilot™ locks onto any heading you choose and delivers you there. Infinitely variable steering adjustments provide smoother course corrections and tighter heading accuracy against wind, waves and current. Included on select models. Also available as an add-on accessory.

i-Pilot Accessory for Terrova
Upgrade your Terrova with the revolutionary i-Pilot wireless trolling system accessory, which uses GPS technology to control and steer your boat for you. At the push of a button, i-Pilot lets you stay on a fishing spot, store and retrace productive trolling paths, or take full command of speed and steering. All with wireless, GPS precision.

Universal Sonar 2 (select models)
Universal Sonar 2 has an integrated, concealed transducer that provides interference-free sonar performance, water temperature sensing, and dual beam technology for an expanded view and greater bottom detail. It's compatible with most major fishfinders and available on select models.

Weedless Wedge 2 Prop
Push weeds away and take on the thick stuff without battery-draining chopping and hacking. Weedless Wedge™ 2 features swept-back, flared blades for unrelenting, reliable prop performance.

Indestructible Composite Shaft - Guaranteed For Life!
Pound for pound, our composite shaft is stronger than steel. It flexes on impact and won?t break, kink or corrode. That's why we're confident enough to make it the only trolling motor shaft that's guaranteed for life.

Cool, Quiet Power
Nothing runs cooler or more quietly than a Minn Kota. Our extra large windings and commutators dissipate heat, resulting in cooler operation, extended battery power, and longer motor life. And our unique bearing system reduces friction to cut fish-spooking noise. So quiet, they'll never hear you coming.

Lake Michigan Yellow Perch Bounce Back After Commercial Ban

For decades, commercial fishing for yellow perch was allowed in southern Lake Michigan. This persisted until 1996 when it was outlawed, giving perch stocks there some time to recover. Scientists had for some time assumed that this fishing ban would not affect the reproduction cycles of the perch quickly and that they were going to need a long time to revert back to the cycles they relied on before commercial fishing ever started. But new research led by scientists at Purdue University finds that maturation schedules of yellow perch in southern Lake Michigan are much more resilient than had been previously thought possible.

Colorado River Fish Contain Levels Of Selenium, Mercury

Largely seen as pristine and relatively untouched by human activity thanks to its protected status, the portion of the Colorado River flowing through Grand Canyon National Park is anything but, according to recently published research. This is evidenced by high levels of selenium and mercury found in the fishes there. Scientists from many institutions were involved in the years-long work, full results of which have been published in the journal Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry. It was led by the U.S. Geological Survey, but perhaps the contributors from Idaho State University got the best end of the stick. They were looking into the food webs of the river to evaluate concentrations of selenium and mercury gathering in fish.

Heron dipper-Tough Is Ready For Harsh Deployments

For all the straightforward groundwater monitoring applications that the folks at Heron Instruments help with, there are a few that are far from typical. These include projects that take place near remediation sites or not far from waste disposal operations. Realizing that customers working in those sorts of projects are in need of a more robust option, the company has released the dipper-Tough . The new water level meter takes inspiration from Heron’s popular dipper-T , while throwing in a host of improvements that environmental pros working in groundwater can really appreciate.
