Ulterra 112 Trolling Motor w/iPilot Link & Bluetooth - 36V-112lb-60" - *Remanufactured

NEVER TOUCH YOUR MOTOR AGAIN, UNLESS YOU WANNA HIGH-FIVE IT.
With Auto Stow/Deploy and Power Trim, we won't blame you for getting excited about Ulterra™. Especially once you realize i-Pilot Link, a multi-function foot pedal, and Universal Sonar 2. Now were jus't showing off.

Auto Stow/Deploy
Nothing makes fishing easier than Ulterra. Auto Stow/Deploy lets you get your motor in and out of the water using the included i-Pilot Link remote.

Power Trim
Once your motor's in the water, Power Trim lets you easily adjust the motor depth for changing conditions, using your remote. Ulterra handles the busy work, so you can focus on fishing.

i-Pilot Link w/New Phone App
Boat positioning becomes automatic with the redesigned, GPS-powered i-Pilot Link system. i-Pilot lets you set Spot-Locks, record paths, control speed and steering, and more. Link does all that plus the ability to control your motor from your Humminbird, follow depth contours, and automatically navigate to your favorite spots. Both systems feature reinvented Spot-Lock - the most accurate electronic GPS anchor ever - and have redesigned remotes with larger screens, more options, and Bluetooth technology, so you can connect to your smartphone for quick control of basic functions and easy software updates.

Ulterra Foot Pedal
Ulterra's foot pedal lets you stow, deploy, trim up/down, and activate a Spot-Lock inaddition to speed and steering controls. Includes 18' cord.

Integrated Battery Meter
In addition to showing the remote battery life, your i-Pilot Link remote will also show you the state of your motor's batteries, so you'll never have to guess how much longer you have on the water.

Digital Maximizer™
Motors with Digital Maximizer provide up to five times longer run time on a single charge by drawing only as much power as you need, so they don't waste any energy. These motors are variable speed, so dial in your precise speed and let Digital Maximizer deliver the right amount of power, while conserving your battery - extending your time on the water.

Weedless Wedge 2 Prop
Push weeds away and take on the thick stuff without battery-draining chopping and hacking. Weedless Wedge™ 2 features swept-back, flared blades for unrelenting, reliable prop performance.

Advantage Minn Kota

In-Home Water Testing: A Talk With the Creator of Tap Score by SimpleWater

In the wake of various water quality crises from Flint, Michigan and Puerto Rico, there is a growing interest and demand among consumers for home water testing. Enter DIY water testing kits like Tap Score by SimpleWater. Tap Score in particular was conceived of and launched by former UC Berkeley grad student John Pujol and co-founder and CTO Julio Rodriguez. “In 2015 we began testing small and rural communities for arsenic in their water,” Pujol explains. “We found it much more frequently than we expected, and also discovered that people in these towns greatly appreciated someone telling them what was in their water and how to fix it.

Hidden Underground Nitrate Pollution Threatens Groundwater Worldwide

For most of us, when we think of nitrate and agricultural pollution, we think of the nitrate that comes from fertilizers and leaches quickly through the soil. The effects of this kind of pollution are realized quickly, but researchers from Lancaster University and the British Geological Survey have recently revealed an underground time bomb of nitrate in rock. In the recent paper , lead author and hydrogeologist Matthew Ascott and the team quantified the vast amounts of nitrate that exist within the layers of rock between the soil and groundwater tables for the first time. They discovered that there is about twice as much nitrate lurking in this rocky vadose zone than there is in the soil—up to 180 million tons—nitrate that has been omitted from global scale nitrogen budgets.

Water in the Desert: The USGS and Arizona's Water Challenges

In a state that knows water is perhaps the single most decisive factor in its continued existence, the Arizona Water Center (AWC), part of the United States Geological Survey (USGS), plays a critically important role. James Leenhouts, Director of the AWC and a hydrologist by training, has lived in Arizona for decades, and devoted his career to helping Arizonans cope with the unique challenges water presents. “A key part of what we do is provide information for resource managers to answer their questions,” Leenhouts explains. “For example, if someone wants to put wells in a certain place in the aquifer, how will it affect nearby wells?” It's a fair question.
