By monitoring free chlorine in addition to other basic water quality parameters, YSI's new Drinking Water Sondes provide a comprehensive look at baseline water quality, while verifying that water remains sanitized as it travels from the treatment plant to the faucet.
The new free chlorine probe uses a membrane-covered, polarographic sensor that eliminates the costly addition of chemicals typically associated with measuring free chlorine. Available in two models, the 600DW-B and the 6920DW, the drinking water sondes can simultaneously measure free chlorine, temperature, conductivity, pH, ORP, and turbidity.
YSI's Drinking Water sondes can be used as stand-alone battery operated units for unattended monitoring, integrated into SCADA systems, or directly connected to a PC. Real-time, on-line data from both remote and local sites are easily provided with NexSens data telemetry systems and iChart software.
