Florida International University to study state’s water supply

Researchers from Florida International University recently received a $5 million grant from the National Science Foundation to study South Florida’s water supply, according to a FIU News.

The five year study will focus on water use of the 7.7 million residents of South Florida. Each day they use 3 billion gallons of water for everything from farming to showering.

Other water related research at the university includes finding ways to reduce water toxins and studying Florida’s Everglades.
