The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency released a new interactive map of environmental impact statements to inform people on projects affecting the environment across the nation, according to an EPA press release.

Users can visit the map online and view impact statements by state.  Links in the map take users to specific projects and their supporting documents.

Selectable filters on the map show environmental impact statements filed within the last week, comment letters filed within 60 days and environmental impact statements with open comment periods.

There is also a search function in the tool to narrow results further.

Environmental impact statements are submitted to inform the federal government and public about projects that have to potential to have significant environmental impact.
