The Lower Fox River Watershed Monitoring Program was given the 2014 Wisconsin Stream Monitoring Award, according to a release from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.

The award is presented to organizations that expand knowledge of Wisconsin stream health. Water Action Volunteers presents it annually.

The program was established in 2003 with funding from the Arjo Wiggins paper company. It involves high school students and volunteers to teach about environmental science while also monitoring the health of streams in Wisconsin.
