The pistol-style design, with grip and sight, is for easy operation. The unit is water proof to 10 ft (3M) and floats with the lens above the waterline. Unit only needs 4 "D" alkaline batteries to operate. The distress S.O.S lasts forever, just replace batteries annually.
The S.O.S. signal light complies with USCG requirements for night visual signal. The visibility is for over 22 miles with over 50,000 candelas. The unit installs easily in new rafts or as a retro-fit. Easy activate switch for one hand operation. Includes a wrist lanyard for extra security. Screw off lens for easy battery replacement. Operational life: 6 hours minimum with common "D" alkaline batteries.
