Details:
Enjoy safety and security with the worlds smallest 406 MHz EPIRB that meets all regulations and is fully approved worldwide. Life saving technology is now readily available.
Unleash the power of the Satellite 406 MHz EPIRB with GPS interface and turn that life threatening situation into a successful rescue story. The Satellite2 Category 1 EPIRB is fully enclosed in a high density, UV stabilized polyethylene bracket with hydrostatic release that withstands extremely abusive environments.
Patented proprietary electronics delivers greater frequency stability for the most accurate position through the LEOSAR satellites.
This unit is the world's smallest 406 MHz EPIRB that meets all regulation and is fully approved worldwide. It is automatically activated when out of bracket and in the water, or manually activated. The audio/visual indicators have active transmission. The unit floats upright with high visibility built-in strobe.
The Satellite 406 MHz EPIRB with GPS interface is 17.5 x 6.25 x 5.5 in. (44.5 x 15.4 x 14.0 cm) with high impact polycarbonate blend case/polyethylene bracket, the unit only weighs 4.5 lbs. (2.0 kg).
The deployment is automatic, hydrostatic release or manual by lifting the switch up, slide left, push back and down fully, breaking tab; water activated when out of bracket
The unit is waterproof up to 33 ft (10 m). The operating life is 48 hours at -40 degrees Celsius. The lithium battery has a 5-year replacement life, while the unit has a 5-year limited warranty.
Internal GPS engine allows faster 406 EPIRB location than standard, non-GPS-enabled models; can update position every 20 minutes
New GPS engine provides faster acquisition time
EPIRB has Circuitry, Battery Voltage and GPS Acquisition Test features built in, or can be fully tested at a BRC (See Glossary-Full Functional Self-Test)
Patented proprietary electronics package for faster, more stable 406 frequency transmission
Field Programmable at BRC equipped with FPR-100, FPR-10
48 hours operating life at -40C (-40F), allowing for monthly self-test for 5 years
Lanyard coil retained with all around cover for non-tangling deployment
Universal usage illustrations; English and French languages
Mounting Bracket included with EPIRB purchase
Transmits on 406 MHz (COSPAS-SARSAT) with your registered, unique, digitally-coded distress signal, and 121.5 MHz (SAR homing frequency)
Built-in strobe for enhanced location in poor visibility conditions
Single, three-position switch for easy test of battery, EPIRB and GPS operation. Steady green LED indicates unit has passed full functional EPIRB test. Flashing red LED indicates unit is "ON"
Can be manually activated; self-buoyant - no external float collar to lose
High impact plastic case designed to withstand exposure to UV rays, oil, sea water and raft packing
5-year limited warranty
5-year replacement life lithium battery
