The Aeroqual Series 500 Monitors have been specifically designed to incorporate Aeroqual's in-depth knowledge of accurate ambient gas measurement. Different sensor heads are used for specific gases or depending upon whether high or low concentrations are to be measured. All sensor heads are interchangeable on the same base unit.
The Series 500 Monitor features high and low alarm notification, measuring unit selection, and max/min/average measurement readings over extended cycles. Additionally, the monitor features a 0-5V analog output signal for connection to external data logging equipment.
In addition to these features, the Series 500 Monitor incorporates internal data logging capabilities. The monitor is able to log up to 8000 data points and upload it to a PC for analysis. Data can also be logged directly to a PC via a serial connection while displaying real-time readings on the PC. The data logging interval can be set in one minute increments from either the monitor or the PC.
The sensor measures the sulfur dioxide content of ambient air and utilize the proprietary Aeroqual "Gas Sensitive Semiconductor" (GSS) technology. GSS technology combines the principles of both HMOS technology and UV photometry to dramatically improve accuracy, T90 response (time taken to reach 90% accuracy), cross sensitivities, and sensor drift. These techniques also reduce costs of calibration and maintenance.
Sulfur dioxide gas sensor heads are compatible with all Aeroqual Series 200, 300, and 500 handheld monitoring instruments. Aeroqual's standard sensor heads are designed to be replaced in seconds by non technical staff, eliminating the need for field calibration and facilitating quick sensor head replacement as required.
