The SIS-3000 Seafloor Imaging System is a multidiscipline survey system incorporating Chirp acoustic technology with various marine sensors to provide a 3000M survey platform capable of fulfilling the most sophisticated survey requirements. The SIS-3000 furnishes the end-user with the base capability of Chirp side scan/ sub-bottom, and position sensors including heading, pitch and roll (standard). Added sensors include magnetometer; conductivity, temperature and depth (CTD); and sound velocity. In addition to the sophisticated sensor package, the shipboard workstation/ processor allows display, storage, and processing of all parameters including post-processing for mosaics and targets.
The Chirp digital side scan operates in the 100 kHz band, with a 20 kHz band width, is capable of achieving an extended swath width of 1500 - 2000 meters, with 4.5 cm resolution. While, the Chirp digital sub-bottom profiler operates in the 2 - 7 kHz band, with a 5 kHz band width provides 10 cm resolution. Powerful digital signal processing (DSP) engine performs real-time matched-filter correlation processing on backscatter data, resulting in superior, high-resolution side scan sonar and sub-bottom imagery.
ChirpScan sonar processing and control software, operating on a high performance Windows NT workstation, features a familiar user interface for control, acquisition, processing, and display of all sonar and sensor data. This fully integrated workstation serves as a comprehensive stand-alone platform, which eliminates the need for costly add-on processing systems.
