The NexSens MB-300 Data Buoy is designed to accommodate offshore data logging systems. These rugged buoy platforms are ideal for deploying temperature strings, multi-parameter sondes and other monitoring instruments in small reservoirs, lakes, rivers, streams, and protected coastal waters. The buoys are constructed of an inner core of cross-linked polyethylene foam with a tough polymer skin coating. The round center housing accommodates the NexSens SDL submersible data loggers, and radio-to-shore or cellular telemetry options are available.
The MB-300 buoy features built-in compartments for mounting (3) 5-watt solar panels with 8.5 A-Hr SLA batteries in a watertight housing. The topside aluminum mast allows the user to mount a navigational beacon and radio or cellular antenna. Top and bottom mounted stainless steel eye-nuts accommodate moorings and lifting rigs.
