The S-53 Explorer compass has a compact and low profile design. It comes with a 2 3/4" easy to read direct reading dial. At night, it uses its built-in NiteVu night illumination. Surface mountable with push-button removal of compass module for quick storage and security. To easily adjust for deviation, there are built-in compensators. Greater accuracy is achieved by using a scientifically matched sapphire jewel and hardened steel pivot dial. This is a very easy to use compass. There is no wiring or power needed, it installs with simple hand tools, and it twists on/off for easy removal for security, transport, & storage. Other features include exclusive DirectiveForce magnets, movable sun shield, extended temperature operating range with composite construction & diaphragm, and it comes with an exclusive 5-year Ritchie warranty. All compasses come standard with 12 volt lighting.
