Details:
Vaisala has further improved on its extremely popular WXT510 multi-parameter weather transmitter and now introduces the WXT520. This new transmitter simultaneously measures wind speed and direction, liquid precipitation, barometric pressure, temperature, and relative humidity with the same precision and reliability as its predecessor. All measurements are based on proven Vaisala technology, such as the WINDCAP sensor for wind speed and direction, the modern RAINCAP sensor for rainfall and rain intensity, and a single module for barometric pressure, temperature, and humidity.
The WXT520 housing with mounting kit is water-resistant and classified to IP66, completely protecting the transmitter against dust and low-pressure jets of water. With this improved Ingress Protection rating, the WXT520 is an ideal solution for marine and buoy-based weather monitoring applications. A number of optional features are offered for the WXT520, including a bird spike kit, USB connection, and surge protector. The bird spike kit helps to deter birds from the WXT520, and the USB connection facilitates connection to a PC as a service connector or when the PC is used as a terminal device.
The WXT520 multi-parameter weather sensor is commonly integrated with NexSens data logging and telemetry systems. This provides users with automatic data collection and the option of posting real-time data to a web-based datacenter. With solar and AC power options, the WXT520 is suitable for portable or permanent weather stations, dense networks, buildings, golf courses, marinas, harbors, and inland data buoys - almost anywhere where real-time weather data is needed.
