The Axiom™ is a powerful multifunction navigation system from Raymarine. The Axiom 7 RV features a 7-inch rugged all-glass touchscreen display and is powered by Raymarine's powerful LightHouse 3 operating system and a supercharged quad-core processor. Axiom 7 RV has built-in RealVision 3D™ sonar and comes with a 4-channel RVTM transom mount transducer.

Axiom 7 RV is expandable so its capabilities can grow as needed. It supports the full range of Raymarine accessories including Quantum radar, CHIRP Sonar, FLIR thermal cameras, audio integration, instruments, cameras, and Evolution autopilot. Standard Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity allows connection to the latest Raymarine apps for tablets and smartphones.

The Axiom 7 RV is bundled with LightHouse USA Coastal Vector charts on MicroSD. The Axiom 7 RV includes surface and trunnion mounting kits, mounting hardware, power/data cable, and installation instructions.

Hidden Underground Nitrate Pollution Threatens Groundwater Worldwide

For most of us, when we think of nitrate and agricultural pollution, we think of the nitrate that comes from fertilizers and leaches quickly through the soil. The effects of this kind of pollution are realized quickly, but researchers from Lancaster University and the British Geological Survey have recently revealed an underground time bomb of nitrate in rock. In the recent paper , lead author and hydrogeologist Matthew Ascott and the team quantified the vast amounts of nitrate that exist within the layers of rock between the soil and groundwater tables for the first time. They discovered that there is about twice as much nitrate lurking in this rocky vadose zone than there is in the soil—up to 180 million tons—nitrate that has been omitted from global scale nitrogen budgets.
