A new crowdfunding effort hopes to garner enough support to produce a personal environmental sensor for the masses called Sensbloks, according to Treehugger.

The company designing them, Sensaris, is looking to raise about $40,000 on the crowdfunding site Indiegogo. That would go toward making the devices able to measure parameters like temperature, humidity and ultraviolet light.

Sensbloks are meant to be wearable and plans are to link them with cell phones. Designers will also look to make their design modular so that they can monitor other parameters of environmental quality.
