Delaware Sea Grant has recently updated its rain garden app, which gives users large amounts of information needed to successfully create their own rain gardens, according to a release from the University of Delaware. The update includes information specific to the Mid-Atlantic states, in addition to others in the Northeast.<\/p>\n
The rain garden app gives large amounts of information to those who want to start their own rain gardens. Designed for use with iOS and Android devices, the app features information on plants native to the Mid-Atlantic suitable for rain gardens, online plant catalogs, video tutorials on step-by-step rain garden building, soil drainage diagrams and more. <\/p>\n
The app uses Google Maps to determine the appropriate rain garden size for the app user, the soil types in the app user\u2019s area and how water will drain into the garden. It can also suggest an optimal place to build a rain garden. Delaware Sea Grant has rolled out the app in Delaware and 12 other states so far.<\/p>\n
