Extreme environments meet extreme design with the NexSens X3 Data Logger<\/a>. The new logger offers the latest in real-time monitoring technology with wireless communication, a large plug-and-play sensor library and ultra-low power consumption, all in a waterproof marine-grade housing.<\/span><\/p>\n

The X3 is built to handle harsh weather, floods, high winds and rough seas, and it stands alone; no additional protective housing needed. With an operating temperature that ranges from -40\u00b0C to 70\u00b0C, the logger can withstand arctic environments and extreme heat.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"NexSens<\/p>\n

A conformal coating on the internal circuit board isolates it from moisture and humidity. If submerged, the antenna and sensor ports, housing, and power connector are sealed to protect electronics and keep the system functioning, even under water.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The X3 can be deployed on bridges, docks, pilings, weather station towers and buoys. Common deployments include freshwater lakes and rivers, brackish estuaries, open oceans, and land-based systems.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Connecting to water quality instruments, temperature strings, ADCPs, water level sensors, and weather stations is easier than ever before. There is no need for complex sensor wiring or data logging programming with the X3\u2013simply connect sensors and access data on the cloud.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Users can select from a <\/span>long list<\/span><\/a> of industry-standard SDI-12, RS-485, RS-232 sensors to customize each monitoring station. Thread-in connections facilitate sensor installation.<\/span><\/p>\n

The built-in sensor library automatically initiates setup and configuration. Sensors not included in the library can be configured with a script.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Image<\/span><\/p>\n

When equipped with one of the telemetry options (4G LTE cellular, Iridium satellite, cellular with Iridium fallback, or Wi-Fi), users can access their data on the cloud anywhere. Without a telemetry option, the X3 can store over 1 year of data with 20 parameters sampling at 15-minute intervals.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Power options include solar power packs, AC adapter, or any external 12 VDC supply. Advanced power management combined with ultra-low sleep and run currents extend battery life and eliminate the need for multi-battery arrays or large solar charging systems.<\/span><\/p>\n

The X3 monitors itself while collecting and transferring data, alerting users of the logger’s power status and other conditions. Internal temperature, humidity, voltages and currents are constantly recorded, and failure alerts can be sent automatically to a predefined list of contacts through WQData LIVE or CONNECT PC-based software.<\/span><\/p>\n

Project managers can easily view and share data collected by the X3 with collaborators and stakeholders via the WQData LIVE web database.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Users can establish thresholds for each measured parameter and set up alerts to notify collaborators via emails or SMS messages. Other features include automated reports, public portal, API, and much more.<\/span><\/p>\n
