Now you “sea” it: new technology will make the ocean accessible to millions

The ocean is coming soon to a computer near you.  A new fiber cable designed for underwater use and a global ocean observatory could change how we view our oceans.  This undersea network would provide unlimited access to oceanic activity via the Internet.  John Delaney, an oceanographer for the University of Washington said the cable project was his vision and has been in the works for twenty years.
